There are those that give up with trying for a happy life because they say that you cannot control what happens in life. They say that bad things always happen and that there’s nothing that you can do to stop them.

Bad things do happen but what hasn’t happened is these people haven’t directed their thoughts inwards. Of course anything can happen in life and we have no control over many things. But this isn’t a reason why you should write off a happy life.

You must know how to be happy and it isn’t by what happens to you. It is by how you look at the things that happen to you and what you believe about these events.

Happy people don’t look at bad events and say they aren’t bad. They acknowledge they might be bad but focus their minds towards a solution or even what’s good about a problem. Say you have an argument about something. Nothing good about that you say but happy people (they also have arguments) might see it as a bridge that gives them an opportunity to discuss a problem and get rid of it.

OMG: I Have a Zit!

I need a good Home Acne Treatment idea. I know this is a touchy subject at the best of times but I could really use the advice from people out there. I woke up this morning with a huge red zit on the left side of my face and I have no idea how to get rid of it! I have a date tonight with the hottest girl from school and I just know that if she sees me like this, I am done for! I have no idea how I got this zit in the first place but I do know that my chances with this girl are toast if I do not zap this zit!

If anybody has any home acne treatments that actually work I would love to hear them. Glad the Glasses Are Gone

I imagine that most people do not care for having bad vision, so perhaps it is a little silly for me to point out that I really hate how weak my eyes are. But I totally do. I mean, I look okay in a pair of glasses but needing to wear them really gets in the way of a lot of hobbies and activities I would rather participate in without the worry of breaking my glasses or fogging them up. When I first heard about LASIK eye surgery I was quite a bit younger, I was young enough that it was decided it was best to wait a while, at least until I was an adult and my eyes “settled” more. Well, now I am an adult and I want my eyes “fixed”! I need to find a clinic for Utah LASIK. More than anything I would like to shed these glasses and function normally!

Whether you need to lose five pounds or one hundred pounds, it is not an easy thing to do. Counting calories to follow a 1200 calorie diet is one way many people go. There is no doubt you will lose weight cutting back this much. The problem is trying to stick to it. You need to have the right frame of mind and really want to lose the weight. Otherwise it is too easy to say you will try again tomorrow.

I have found the easiest way for me to stick to the diet is to not have any foods in the house that will tempt me. Actually, when I go on a 1200 calorie diet I have very little food in the house. I plan out exactly what I am going to eat that week and only buy that at the grocery store. I refuse to go back to the store until I am shopping for the next week.

What is LAL Testing

Lal testing is perhaps one of the most significant discoveries in the field of modern medicine. If you have ever gone through a surgical procedure or at the least taken an antibiotic, then you have certainly taken advantage of LAL (limulus amoebocyte lysate).

The production of LAL is a complicated, arduous process that requires a large horseshoe crab to be put under several laboratory tests. The horseshoe crab is then bled and goes through a procedure for the extraction of the amoebocyte. The end result would be freeze-dried amoebocyte which is then processed for pharmaceutical use.

A group of researchers in Singapore is currently looking at a toxin detecting gene which can be found in the blood of horseshoe crabs. If scientists are able to clone this gene, horseshoe crab blood will no longer be needed in the preparation of LAL. This will result in cheaper LAL Testing which can be made available for everyone.
